I specialise in … providing profit maximisation advice and assistance to owner-managed businesses.

I also ... am an ICAEW Accredited Forensic Accountant and head my firm's Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support team, providing expert witness advice to solicitors and businesses in the areas of litigation, loss of profits claims, business valuations and fraud. I lead our Healthcare sector team, specialising in advising the medical profession. As a Senior Statutory Auditor, I also head our Audit and Assurance Services department, providing services to a wide range of entities, including due diligence work for businesses and financial institutions.

Prior to joining HSKS Greenhalgh … I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a firm in Derby before joining what is now Deloitte in Nottingham, as a manager in their Business Services Group. I joined Greenhalgh in 1994.

Besides my work at HSKS Greenhalgh … I am a Director/Trustee of Radford Care Group, a charity which provides day care services for the elderly. I am also a Director/Trustee of two other local charities.

Outside of work … I spend my time watching Derby County FC, transporting and watching my son play hockey and tending our menagerie of animals!

If I had the opportunity I would … travel the world watching different sports in famous sporting venues.

It’s been said about me that ... “Philip is great to have as an advisor because he gives accurate, realistic and practical advice which is invaluable in enabling clients to plan a strategy. He is extremely professional but very approachable and communicates with excellent clarity.”
