I specialise in … advising owner-managed businesses, to help them grow by providing ongoing advice and professional support with special emphasis on both direct and indirect taxation and the impact of such advice on the business and its owners.

I also … specialise in property tax, inheritance tax, probate and estate planning. I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Chartered Institute of Taxation and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Prior to joining HSKSG … I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Birmingham based firm and then as a Chartered Tax Advisor during my four years as a tax consultant with KPMG. Before joining HSKS in 2003, I worked as a corporate tax manager for another top 10 firm.

Besides my work at HSKSG … I was the President of the Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants in 2018/19 and I also get involved in local community projects to help raise funds for local charities.

Outside of work … I am a keen walker, enjoy walking marathons and hiking. I love family holidays and would like to go to the gym more often than I do.

If I had the opportunity I would … set up a charity for children’s education.
