David Hits The Right Note With Accountancy Exam Success

A trainee at Greenhalgh Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors in Uttoxeter has taken the first step to qualification after passing his final AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) examinations.

David Norcup, 20, from Stockton Brook near Leek, joined Greenhalgh in August 2010. After leaving Holden Lane High School David, who is also a part-time musician, went on to begin his AAT studies at Babington Business College. He now plans to continue his career development by studying for his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.

Says Greenhalgh Director, Gary Brockway, “We are very pleased to congratulate David on passing his AAT examinations. David joined us last summer and has been working hard to combine studying with the demands of starting a new job. We look forward to continuing to support him as he moves on to study with the ACCA”.

As well as training to become an accountant, David is also an accomplished musician and plays guitar in several local bands as well as performing as a solo artist. David also enjoys cycling and this summer he will, for the third time, be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge.
