Accountants' Merger Adds Up To Good News For Clients

Greenhalgh Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors have announced that they have merged with Derby firm HSKS Chartered Accountants. The new firm will employ around 75 people, based in offices in Nottingham, Derby, Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter.

Greenhalgh Chief Executive Nigel Shaw confirmed that the merger will see the firm achieve one of its long-term objectives.

“It has long been an ambition of ours to have a presence in Derby to serve our already considerable client base in the area”, added Mr Shaw. “The merger will also provide a platform for us to build on our position as one of the market leaders in the Midlands delivering financial and business advice.”

HSKS Managing Director, Kultaran Singh, added that the two firms’ shared philosophy on client care and providing a comprehensive range of business advisory services means the merger is good news for clients.

“The clients of both firms will continue to receive the excellent levels of client service that they have come to expect, as well as benefit from the additional resources and expertise that the new firm will provide”, added Mr Singh.

In the short-term, the two firms will continue to trade under their respective names, with a new, unified, brand identity to be unveiled later in the year.

Legal advice on the merger was provided by Nelsons and Keelys.
