Kultaran Singh Announced as the New President of the Nottingham, Derby & Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants

HSKS Greenhalgh Managing Director Kultaran Singh has been appointed as the President of the NDLSCA for 2016/17.  He takes over the role from Simon Gray of Pembridge Gray Ltd.  Kultaran's fellow HSKS Greenhalgh Director, Anshu Mehan, has become Vice President.

Register of Persons With Significant Control Requirement Introduced

As of 6 April 2016, all companies and and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) will have to create and maintain a new public register. This will be a register of people with significant control (PSCs) over the company or partnership. Read our article to find out how your business will be affected.

Derby Telegraph Business Awards: Finalists Announced!

Following a very difficult judging process, HSKS Greenhalgh are pleased to announce that the finalists for the Excellence in Science and Technology Award, which they are sponsoring at this year's Derby Telegraph Business Awards, have been decided.

Data Clarity Ltd, Mercuryavs Limited and Tracis plc are all in contention for the Award and the winner will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Thursday 9 June at The Roundhouse.

The Derby Telegraph Business Awards aim to celebrate success, recognise achievement and highlight the innovative people and companies in Derbyshire who are putting our region on the map by boosting the economy while making a positive contribution to the local community.

HSKS Greenhalgh Announces Second New Director Appointment of 2016

The latest promotion at HSKS Greenhalgh sees another long-standing member of the team join the firm's Board.

Following on from tax specialist Martin Tomes' promotion at the beginning of the year, Martin Gadsby, who has been with the firm for almost ten years, has also become a Director.

Martin, 32, joined HSKS Greenhalgh in 2007 and became a Manager in 2008.  During that time he has played a key role in the successful development of the firm's specialist agricultural team.

HSKS Greenhalgh Enjoy "A Night At The Movies" With The Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra

Television and radio presenter Nicki Chapman was the host as the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO) invited the audience to “A Night at the Movies!” at their annual Family Concert at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on 30 January.

HSKS Greenhalgh GP Specialist Accountant Issues Reminder Regarding Publication of GP Earnings

Having passed the 31 January tax return filing deadline and the 29 February superannuable pay certificate filing deadline, GP practices may have thought that they had fulfilled their annual reporting requirements for 2014/15. 

However, Jean Kelly, GP specialist accountant at HSKS Greenhalgh is reminding GP practices that, as part of the 2015/16 GMS/PMS contract negotiations, practices are obliged to publish details of their 2014/15 NHS earnings on their websites by 31 March 2016.
